Using Swipefile

Swipefile is operated by Neil Busque. These terms apply to swipefile.design and its reference, board, sharing, and export tools. By using the service, you agree to these terms and the Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled; it is not a blanket consent to optional processing.

You must be at least 16 and have the legal capacity or required parent or guardian permission to use the service. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to accept these terms for it.

The service today

The public library is currently free and does not require an account. It helps you study design examples, save references locally, and prepare design briefs. It is not a promise that a particular reference, feature, export, or URL will remain available indefinitely. We may correct, replace, or remove references as sites change or rights issues arise. If paid features are introduced, pricing and any additional payment or cancellation terms will be presented before a purchase; these terms do not authorize charges.

Local boards, sharing, and exports

You are responsible for backing up local boards. Browser storage can be cleared, unavailable, or lost. Swipefile cannot recover data that only exists in your browser. Export files and shared links should be treated according to the information they contain.

A public board link is a snapshot, not a continuously synchronized private document. Anyone with it can access or redistribute its contents. Deleting or editing the original local board does not revoke the link or another person’s copy. PDF generation processes that snapshot on our server and may reuse a cached export, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

References, software, and intellectual property

Third-party screenshots, trademarks, videos, designs, and artwork remain the property of their owners. Their appearance in the library is for reference and study and does not grant permission to reuse them. Attribution is not a license. Obtain permission or a suitable license where your intended use requires one.

Swipefile’s application code is available under the license included in its source repository. That software license does not automatically cover third-party library assets or trademarks. Adapt design principles using your own content and identity. Swipefile is independent and is not endorsed by the products it features.

Content you provide

You retain rights you have in original descriptions and other material you submit. You confirm that you have the authority to submit it and that it does not violate another person’s rights, privacy, or applicable law. A link submission is a suggestion for review, not proof of permission to reproduce the linked site.

For material you choose to submit for publication, you grant Swipefile a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, reproduce, format, edit, and display it as needed to review, publish, maintain, and promote that reference within the service. This does not transfer ownership or authorize unrelated uses of private board information. You may request correction or removal through the copyright and content process. Approved material may have already been saved or shared by others.

Design briefs and external tools

Reference notes and generated briefs assist design judgment; they are not guarantees of originality, accessibility, legal clearance, conversion, or business results. Review any output before using it. Swipefile does not submit your project description to an AI provider for you. External websites and tools have their own terms, privacy practices, availability, and fees.

Accounts and cloud storage when available

Public accounts and cloud saves are not available in this version. If introduced, the sign-up flow will identify the applicable terms and privacy information before account creation. You will be responsible for accurate account information, protecting access credentials, and reporting unauthorized access. You must not use another person’s account without authorization.

Cloud availability, limits, sharing permissions, and export/deletion controls will be explained with the released feature. These terms do not promise automatic migration of local data, unlimited storage, permanent availability, or a particular recovery period. Any new charges will require a separate purchase decision.

Availability, restrictions, and ending use

You may stop using Swipefile at any time and remove its local browser data. We may restrict abusive access or remove unlawful, infringing, or harmful content. Where practical and appropriate, we will explain an action and provide a way to ask for review; urgent security or legal action may require immediate restrictions. Contact us if you believe a restriction or removal was mistaken.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, error-free content, or fitness for a particular purpose. Keep your own backups and verify references before relying on them. We are not responsible for independently operated sites, third-party copies, or decisions you make from a reference.

To the extent applicable law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits mandatory consumer, privacy, or other statutory rights. These terms do not require mandatory arbitration or waive class-action rights.

Changes and questions

We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date appears above. Material changes will be explained through an appropriate notice or the relevant product flow; account acceptance will be requested where required.
