The monster’s favorite snack? Another vague prompt. Start with a few references, explain what you like, and give your next build a point of view.
- Find a pattern. Browse app screens, websites, or resources. Filter by category and pattern, or search for the task you are designing.
- Look closer. Open the capture, read its design notes, and follow the original source. Dates and demo labels explain what you are looking at.
- Make it yours. Describe your project in the prompt builder. Choose a build, an audit, or a design brief, then copy or download the result for your preferred tool.
- Keep a collection. Save references to boards. Export a backup or share a snapshot link with anyone.
Contribute something worth studying
Useful references show a clear pattern: a good empty state, thoughtful search, a legible table, a distinctive layout. Explain the design decision and when it helps.
Submit a public source URL, the screen or state to capture, and a short note about what makes it useful. Only contribute images you are entitled to share. Remove personal information and keep the original source attribution. Contributions are reviewed before they appear.
Open source, thoughtfully scoped
Swipefile’s application code is MIT licensed. You can run it locally, host your own library, and contribute improvements. The project is independent and is not affiliated with Mobbin or the products featured here.
Third-party screenshots, trademarks, and supplied artwork remain the property of their respective owners and are excluded from the application’s MIT license. A reference is inspiration, not permission to reuse the original artwork or branding.

Found a thoughtful app screen, website, or design resource? Submit a link. Every submission is reviewed before it appears in the library.
A new home for your references
Swipe is now Swipefile. If you saved boards at swipe.neilb.app, open your previous boards and choose Back up boards. Then use Restore backup on this site. Your existing boards stay available at the previous address.
Your boards stay with you
Swipefile does not require an account. Boards and your theme choice are saved in this browser. They do not sync automatically across devices; use Back up boards and Restore backup to move or back up your boards.
A shared board link contains its name and reference list in the public link. Anyone you send that link to can view that snapshot. Editing your original board does not change an existing shared link.
The prompt builder runs in your browser. Project descriptions are not sent to an AI service by Swipefile. Copying a prompt to another tool is your choice. When you submit a link, Swipefile stores the link and the details you provide for review. Submissions are private until approved. A short-lived, hashed network identifier helps limit spam; admin accounts use sign-in cookies. This build has no analytics script; hosting services may keep standard request logs, and fonts are served directly by Swipefile.
Help keep the library useful
Sites change. If a capture is out of date, a source is broken, or content should be removed, report the reference with its URL and the issue. Weak or mismatched references are removed from browsing while their older links can remain available for existing boards.
